Residing In: Los Angeles, CA USA
Children: Four-legged ones only!

Occupation: Management Consultant
What have you been up to since you graduated?

Moved to Los Angeles right after graduating college in 1975 and never left---I consider myself a Californian through and through. I have worked in public relations, politics and non-profit management for most of my career. Launched a consulting practice this past year, in the midst of the Great Recession.

School Story:

I was never particularly happy in HS, probably because I was in the closet. Came out when I moved here and am much happier now.

Where else have you lived

Have lived in the Los Angeles area since 1975, and for the past 20 years in the Silver Lake neighborhood, which is close to Hollywood and Dodger Stadium.

If you could build a second house anywhere, where would it be?

Mountains, anywhere.

What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?

Journalism---I still love to write.

What did you always want to do that you haven’t done yet?

The Great American Novel.

Recently colored with crayons / colored pencils?

No

Where have you traveled either for work or vacation?

All over the US, Mexico, Asia & Europe---however, I have traveled very little in the past 10 years.

Are you on Facebook?

Yes

Do you still have family in the Massapequa area?

No

Would you ever move back to Massapequa or Long Island?

NFW!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Walking and Hiking, Reading Fiction, Pets and Wildlife, Show Tunes, Horology (look it up)

Favorite teacher(s)?

Mrs. Goodman

Famous or interesting people you've met?

I've met a lot of interesting people in politics, but only a few famous ones, most of them not very well known outside CA. I worked for US Sen Barbara Boxer in her first term and got to know her well---very nice lady and one of the handful of true liberals left in the Senate.

Favorite musician(s) from school years (1960 to about 1975)

Steely Dan

Drive a 2-door or 4-door vehicle?

Original 2001 4-door Toyota Prius (on my second hybrid battery)

Favortie TV show then......and now?

Star Trek then, Star Trek now; also the Charlie Rose show, Mad Men, Big Bang Theory

Favorite movie(s)?

Annie Hall

Favorite song(s) from school years (1960 to about 1975)

Anything by Frank Sinatra

If you could go back and do it again would you do anything differently?

Hard to say. I definitely would have come out of the closet sooner than I did, but it wasn't easy back in the 70's (and I never, ever would have thought we'd be seeing gay marriage in my lifetime!). Professionally, I might have stayed in journalism instead of detouring into politics and campaigns---but I probably would have ended up as either an out of work (out of business) newspaper reporter or a TV news producer who hates what TV news has become.
